MATTINGLEY PARISH
Mattingley is a rural Parish in the north east of Hampshire with a diverse landscape from the high ground of Hazeley Heath to the water meadows along the Whitewater Valley. Mattingley sub-divided from the Parish of Heckfield in the late 19th century and is made up of five small settlements together with a number of scattered houses and farms in between.
The main settlements are Mattingley and Hound Green to the western side of the Parish and to the east there is Hazeley, Hazeley Lea and Hazeley Bottom. The eastern side of the Parish is dominated by the Heath, which is perhaps one of the best preserved stretches of heathland in the north of Hampshire.
